Instructions
Measure & mark
Using your measuring tape, measure from the bottom of your wall to the height at which you’d like your hooks to be installed. The general height for coat hooks in an entryway is 60" (1520 mm) to 66" (1680 mm), though if you’re installing hooks for a different purpose, go with your own preference.
Lightly mark this point with your pencil, or better yet, lay down a strip of masking tape and mark. You now know the height at which you will install your hooks.
With your pencil, draw a straight line to join the markings. Using a spirit level, double check that your markings are straight. The bubble should be centred within the tool.
With your pencil, mark where on the line you want your first hook. Then, measure and mark 4 to 6 inches from this marking. This is where your second hook will go. Repeat this step for each hook you want to install. You now know exactly where to drill your holes.
Preparing the drill
Compare the size of your wall plug against the drill bit and select the closest match. A 6mm drill bit is a good choice for our supplied wall plugs.
Place your chosen drill bit and wall plug side-by-side on a flat surface. Tape a small amount of masking tape around the portion of the drill bit that is longer than the wall plug. This will tell you how far to drill into your wall.
Insert your drill bit into your drill.
Get drilling
Positioning your drill on your first marking for the hook, drill confidently into your wall.
Once complete, remove the drill and push your wall plug into the drilled hole. The wall plug should fit snuggly in the hole, completely flush against the wall.
Repeat the process for each hook, then tear off your masking tape. Your wall is now ready for your knobs to be installed ✨
Installing the knob
Screw the supplied dowel screw into the wall plug. You can do this by hand, or with the drill.
Secure your knob to your wall by tightly screwing your knob onto the dowel screw, until it meets the wall and sits flush.
There you have it! Hang a couple of coats onto your hooks, then enjoy your decluttered, practical space 🙌
