Our brand new Kitchen Mixer Taps collection have officially launched. Whether you're working on a kitchen renovation, or a quick utility room refresh, you can order yours now.
Choose the style of your kitchen hardware
Your choice of hardware should echo the style of your kitchen. A modern kitchen with simple, clean lines calls for equally modern cabinet hardware, and a matching contemporary kitchen tap. Have a traditional, cottagecore kitchen with shaker cabinets? You should opt for classic cabinet hardware styles, paired with a more understated kitchen tap 👌
What is your kitchen design scheme?
Let’s take this process one step at a time. First, take a good look at your kitchen cabinetry, and browse our range of hardware to find something that best suits your taste.
If you’ve already got the hardware installed, then skip straight to the ‘What to consider when choosing your kitchen tap’ section.
Traditional kitchen
Do you have frameless cabinets that need a little more interest? Or, maybe you’d like to elevate your shaker cabinets with a more classic design? Adding our GROOVED range will provide that oomph that your kitchen scheme is craving 💥
Tooled from Solid Brass and embellished with grooves for your grip, this model looks as good as it feels — a timeless touch that will complement your classic scheme. The grooved details will even match the clean lines of your shaker cabinets and wall panelling.
Team our grooved LENNON Knob with our matching BECKER Grooved D-bar Handle for clean consistency across your kitchen 🤝
Minimalist kitchen
Sometimes, smooth and simple design is all you need. If your kitchen is more spacious and monochrome, you’ll want your touchpoints to carry the same elegance 💅
Enter our PLANE Handle and Knob. Taking minimalism seriously, our PLANE range can just about complement any kitchen scheme, thanks to its versatile design. Want something more ahead of our times? Our KING and KNIGHT Ring Pulls carry the same minimalist appeal, whilst also looking one of a kind.
Contemporary kitchen
Is your kitchen design scheme sleek and streamlined, with a modern, high-end feel? Luxurious details that are both clean and uncomplicated will complement this scheme best. Our SWIRLED Collection does exactly that, with a decorative swirling texture that adds a subtle twist to classic silhouettes. This collection offers a range of hardware, from SEARLE T-Bar Handles, to SWIFT and SADLER Knobs ✨
We’re sure you have a colour scheme that you want your hardware to complement. Choose from our range of core finishes — Antique Brass, Matte Black, and Brushed Silver — to best match your interior design scheme.
Kitchen taps — finish & style
Now that you know the hardware that’ll best complement your kitchen design scheme, it’s time to think about the kitchen tap that’ll pair well with your chosen hardware 🖼
Select your style
Your taps can match the detailing of your kitchen hardware. Our taps collection feature fine detailing at the end of the spout and along the length of the lever handle. These finer details will elevate your kitchen and pull together your design scheme 😌
Did you opt for GROOVED hardware, like our BECKER & LENNON, or SWIRLED hardware, like SEARLE & SWIFT? Look closely, and you’ll see the matching details.
Went for a more minimalist look? Or just prefer a more understated aesthetic for your tap? Our taps are also available with smoother, classic details. It doesn’t get more versatile than this 🙌
Select your finish
Match the finish of your kitchen sink tap with the rest of your kitchen hardware. Consistency is key to help pull your kitchen scheme together 🗝
Our PORTMAN and ARMSTRONG kitchen mixer taps are available in a variety of finishes, including Antique Brass, Brushed Silver and Matte Black. Simply have a browse and select the same finish as your chosen cabinet hardware.
Mix and match
Want your kitchen tap to make more of a statement? Choose a finish that contrasts with your cabinetry hardware. Mixing and matching hardware finishes can enhance your kitchen design scheme and elevate your entire space 💥
If your kitchen cabinets are topped off with bright Brass hardware, a dark and daring Matte Black tap would perfectly off-set the design of your kitchen. Or, if you’re going for Matte Black kitchen hardware, opt for a Brushed Silver tap. Opposites attract, right? 👫
What to consider when choosing your kitchen tap
With your cabinet hardware sorted, the next hurdle is selecting the right tap for your kitchen. Before caving on your favourite tap style, there are plenty of practical considerations to take into account, including the shape and size of tap that would best suit your kitchen 🧐
Different types of kitchen taps
Another practical factor to think about when purchasing your new kitchen sink tap, is the type of tap you need. How do you want to control your water flow and temperature? Single levers are an easy way of controlling both water flow and temperature with one hand. Twin levers enable you to mix hot and cold water separately through two levers 💪
We are launching kitchen mixer taps, featuring a convenient and practical single lever. Now, multitasking will be your best friend. You can now toss those pancakes with one hand, whilst finding the perfect water temperature with the other 🥞
Different kitchen tap shapes
How much sink space do you have to play with? Do you have a smaller sink, or a sink that is positioned beneath wall cabinets in a smaller kitchen or flat? Our ARMSTRONG Mixer Tap provides all the functionality you need, with an ultra-streamlined design. The angular spout will tuck nicely underneath wall cabinets, whilst maintaining that understated, sleek appeal 👌
If you’ve got a bigger, open plan kitchen, with a sink positioned on a kitchen island or in front of broad windows, you can consider a more generous silhouette for your tap. Our PORTMAN Mixer Tap has a rounded spout, helping you make the most out of your sink space, all whilst making a contemporary statement atop your kitchen sink 🌟
The right size for kitchen taps
When thinking about purchasing a new kitchen tap, it's important to consider the size of tap that will fit your kitchen. You don’t want to end up purchasing a tap that is too big, or too small.
The standard tap hole size is 35mm in diameter. The base of the tap will always be larger than 35mm, to disguise the hole 💡
Our kitchen mixer taps are of standard size, with a 35mm diameter and 46.50mm base. This is a safe option for most kitchens, though be sure to get your measuring tape out and double check the diameter of your sink hole ✅
Remember to measure the full height and diameter of the tap, to make sure the size of the tap is not too big or too small for your kitchen sink.
We also recommend considering whether there is enough space between the back of your sink and the wall. Get measuring, as you can never be too sure 👌
Finishing touches
Sink looking a little sparse, or just need a practical addition to keep your sink more organised? Why not install our FOLD Soap Holder in Brass, to add a luxe touch by your sink, all whilst keeping the soap spills at bay 🧼
